With more than 40 years of actuarial consulting experience and over two decades leading WSP, Dave’s expertise spans medical stop loss, captive insurance, reinsurance, underwriting, product development, and complex risk transfer. He also brings deep experience in due diligence and evaluating emerging market opportunities.
Throughout his career, Dave has worked with captives, managing general underwriters (MGUs), insurers, healthcare providers, and reinsurers. He is widely recognized for his ability to design scalable, financially sound solutions within complex risk structures.
Dave is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA), Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS), Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA), and Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA). He holds an MS in Statistics and previously served as Chairman of the Board of the Self-Insurance Institute of America.
He has also founded and supported numerous ventures across the insurance ecosystem, most notably Apex Management Group and Claros Analytics. He has also played a key role in developing and scaling multiple insurance organizations.
